The Velvet West is an instrumental music project created by Guitarist Mitch Stevens. Drawing inspiration from classic cinema, spaghetti western guitar tones and dusty lofi beats - The Velvet West combines these elements to create a brand new fresh sound in the instrumental landscape.

The Velvet West’s debut EP “A Deal on the Rio Grande” earned warm praise by critics and fans of the instrumental genre. Now with the eagerly anticipated new EP “Eldorado Road” Mitch dives deeper into the tape saturated, vinyl crackled lofi sounds of previous decades to create a new vision and direction. With a view to encourage listeners to look back instead of looking forward into the unknown abyss of AI generated content.
